Mr Lovemore Chundu is the Chairperson of Technical Committee on Milk and Milk Products, under the African Organization for Standardization (ARSO). Mr Chundu has a dedicated service to the dairy industry having spent the last 40 years playing various roles in the sector, including dairy research, regulatory, quality assurance, dairy processing and standardization work.
He has worked in the industry both at home as well with players in other countries including Botswana, Mozambique and in East Africa. He trained in Dairy Technology at University of Ghent (Belgium), holds a Diploma in Biological Sciences, a Bachelor in Business Management, and a Masters in Strategic Management and Corporate Governance.
Mr Chundu has a passion for standardization, which has seen him being a two time winner of the Standards Association of Zimbabwe Awards for Outstanding Contribution to Standards Work. He is currently leading dairy experts in Africa to craft harmonized standards for the dairy sector in support of the integration of intra African trade under the African Continental Free Trade Agreement.
