A prominent farmer in Masvingo Province, involved in both livestock and crop production.He served as Member of Parliament for Zaka North Constituency in 2013 and is currently the Member of Parliament for Zaka Central, a position he has held since 2023.
He was appointed Deputy Minister of Agriculture from 2013 to 2017, and subsequently served as Deputy Minister of Lands and Agriculture from 2017 to 2018.
From 2018 to 2021, he served as Minister of State in the Office of Vice President Mohadi. He was later appointed Minister of State in the Office of the President and Cabinet, responsible for monitoring the implementation of special agricultural and related programmes from 2021 to 2022.
In 2022, he was transferred to the Ministry of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development as Deputy Minister, with responsibilities including water resources, irrigation development, water, sanitation and hygiene, fisheries, and agricultural colleges. He is also a Central Committee Member and currently serves as Deputy Minister of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development, a position he has held since 2023.
